Tips & Strategies

Want to level up your LexiTime game? Whether you're stuck on Medium or battling through Hard mode, these tips and strategies can help you think more efficiently and solve faster.

New to LexiTime? Check out the How to Play guide for a full breakdown of game modes and examples.

🔍 Look for Common Word Parts

Spot familiar chunks like TING, TION, ED, and TH. These often form the building blocks of longer words.

🧱 Build from the Bottom

Sometimes it’s easier to lock in the last word first. If you spot a solid word at the bottom of the stack, build upward from there.

🔁 Swap First, Think Later

Don’t overthink every swap - sometimes making random changes helps you see patterns you didn’t notice before.

🔤 Start with Short Words Inside Long Words

Look for 3-4 letter words within the stack. You might stumble upon a piece of a bigger word that helps you solve the puzzle.

💥 Don’t Fixate on One Word

If you’re stuck trying to complete a specific word, shift your focus to another. Sometimes the pieces you need will fall into place naturally when rearranging other tiles.

🧩 Use Process of Elimination

If a tile combination clearly doesn’t belong in any real word, eliminate it from your focus and try building around more promising pairs.

🔁 Full Reshuffle

If you’ve been stuck for a while, try dramatically reshuffling all tiles. Breaking out of old patterns can help you spot new ones.

📚 Expand Your Vocabulary

Playing regularly will naturally boost your vocabulary - but reading more books, articles, or even other word games can give you a serious edge.

⚡ Practice on Easy Mode

Don’t overlook Easy mode! It’s a great way to warm up, learn common pair patterns, and sharpen your eyes before tackling the bigger ones.
